1. Nature of the programme
Atal Suraksha Kavach is a voluntary, not-for-profit family protection membership operated by Atal Foundation India. It is not an insurance policy and is not regulated by IRDAI. Nominee support is paid from the foundation's pooled contributions, subject to verification and the rules below.
2. Eligibility
Indian residents aged 18–60 at the time of enrolment with valid KYC (Aadhaar and PAN). Pre-existing terminal conditions disclosed at registration may affect the waiting period.
3. Membership dues
Annual dues must be paid by the due date shown on the member dashboard. A 30-day grace period applies. Non-payment beyond grace will suspend the membership and may forfeit nominee eligibility.
4. Waiting period
A 90-day waiting period applies from the date of activation, during which only accidental events qualify for nominee support.
5. Nominee support
A one-time ₹5,00,000 payout is made to the registered nominee upon verified passing of the member, subject to KYC verification, document submission, and claim approval as per published timelines.
6. Exclusions
Self-inflicted harm within the first 12 months, participation in unlawful activities, and undisclosed terminal illness at enrolment are excluded.
7. Changes to terms
The foundation may revise these terms with 30 days' notice via the registered email and the member dashboard.
8. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at New Delhi.
